The Russian Mobile VAS Awards'2010 competition takes place within the VII Mobile VAS Conference framework. The Awards entry is between September 6 and October 16, 2010, 18.00 MSK. On October 19-30 all applications will be evaluated by the Awards Jury board and one winner will be selected for every category. Awards winners are announced at the Russian Mobile VAS Awards'2010 ceremony during the VII Mobile VAS Conference gala dinner on November 18. Any company (project) can apply for the Awards. Application fee is $130 (4000 roubles) + VAT 18% per entry. Applications will be evaluated after entry fee paid only. Application fee is not refundable. One company (project) can apply to any nomination number, but with one entry for a particular category. Project/service launch time is irrelevant (2010 or earlier).

Application form format: attached file, plain text description, no pictures, including:
1. Awards category title.
2. Company (project) name.
3. Entry project (product/service) title.
4. Contact information: name & business title of entry sender, e-mail, telephone number (cellular preferably).
5. Headquarters location (country, city).
6. Company (project) Web site.
7. Project launch date.
8. Project short description (up to 10 text lines).
9. Project detailed description (up to one page).
10. Why you believe your project should win (up to 20 lines).
All received from you information is designated for the Awards jury and the Russian Mobile VAS Awards organizing committee only. The info will not be distributed to any third party.

Application form file format: Adobe Acrobat (.pdf, ideally) or MS Word (.doc, less desirable). Application should be sent within the entry deadlines to org(at)vasforum.ru with e-mail subject: "VAS Awards". Incorrectly formatted applications will not be considered (regardless of application fee paid).

At the Awards ceremony a short video (based on your MS PowerPoint presentations) will present every shortlisted entry (selected by formal criteria above) to the public. Your presentation should laconically and clearly represent essence of your project submitted. All rights on video and audio content during the Awards ceremony belong to ADMIN Ltd. company, the Mobile VAS Conference and the Russian Mobile VAS Awards organizer. The entrants are responsible for ensuring that they have full copyrights to their competition entries and the right to use the works and their elements when participating in the competition. If you decide to participate at the competition, be ready to submit us with a presentation describing your project by October 20. We advise you to make your presentation in advance. Then the Awards organizers will make a video from your presentation to be shown at the Awards ceremony.
Technical requirements for presentation: Microsoft PowerPoint format file (MS Office 2007 version or earlier). No more than 4 (four) slides per presentation. The first slide should clearly indicates your company name and title of submitted project. Large text font in presentation is advised for better readability. If you submit several applications, one presentation should be made for every entry accordingly.

At the Russian Mobile VAS Awards ceremony
The VII Mobile VAS Conference participants and the Russian Mobile VAS Awards entry representatives get together by 19.30 on November 18 at the Corinthia Nevsky Palace conference hall where Gala dinner tables are served and a stage with a big screen for the Awards ceremony is set. The Awards ceremony host presents the competition, announces categories, shortlisted entries, Jury members and sponsors. Then the host announces the first category and its finalists; the audience watches videos of the nomination contenders on a big screen. The host announces the category winner. We watch winner's video and a good-looking girl presents to winning project representative with the Awards prize. And so for every category. At closing of the Awards ceremony we watch again videos of all winners for all categories. The Gala dinner continues till 21.30.

Awards Jury:

Alexei Boiko
DOB: 1962. Education: Moscow Technical University of Communication, MBA. Chief of the department in "Science and Life" magazine; marketing manager in Motorola. Developed Sotovik.ru and MForum.ru projects. Marketing director for Sotovik.ru until 2003, from 2003 and currently - editor and expert working for MForum.ru and CForum.ru.


Andrew Borisevich
Andrew is SUP's Director of Business Development for Russia and the CIS. He has worked in the Russian internet and mobile field for a decade, in this time he led the Moscow office of Red Graphic and was head of mobile marketing at Promo Interactive. He joined SUP in 2006 and has overseen various business and product development roles before taking up his new position in August of 2008.


Michael Bravo
Independent IT consultant, innovative technologies consultant for i-Free company. Michael joined the i-Free team when it had only 6 employees - as a sysadmin and IT manager, and went the whole way from networking engineer and IT infrastructure designer to R&D. Before i-Free Michael was busy with computer networks (starting with Fidonet back in the day), was one of the early adopters and proponents of Linux in Russia. He is particularly interested in open source software. photography, online communities and virtual worlds.

Mikhail Denisenko
Mikhail started his professional carrier as a research officer in the Military Space Force, with a PhD degree in optical electronics. In 1998 Mikhail made a turn from technology to commercial activities, got excellent international business practice during 7-year occupation in overseas offices of Transas company group in positions of business development and project manager. Within United Fun Traders Mikhail leads technology-critical projects, finding and developing innovative ways and new business models for mobile VAS services distribution on and off deck. Also Mikhail supervises several projects with operator WAP portals management and billing connectivity.

Dmitry Luchkin
Graduated public administration at the Lomonosov University (Moscow State University) in 2001, postgraduate studies and thesis were devoted political communications (2004). Worked in different positions of marketing & PR for systems integrator Andek, web-portal Mail.ru, search advertising provider Begun.ru (2001-2005). Directed marketing & PR of aggegator and service-provider InCore on Russian VAS market (2005-2008) and was responsible for business development of systems integrator group Asteros (2008-2009). From May 2009 - head of international development unit of Svyazinvest holding company.

Oksana Pankratova
Oksana is Research Director and Partner at Advanced Communications & Media. She graduated from the University of Maryland (USA) in 2000. Since that time she held many positions in the telecoms consulting field in Russia. Prior to joining AC&M, Oksana was a managing partner of ComNews Research. Oksana is one of the top Russian experts in value added services and content based mobile applications.


Kirill Rozhkovskiy
Graduated from Higher School of Economics (State University) in 2000. Since 1997 started to pay attention to content and marketing aspects of internet technologies, and started to professionally deal with it in "Manifest" advertisement agency since 1999. Became interested in mobile technologies in 1999. This resulted in launch of his own project mcom.ru in 2000 and work for PagerGate.ru project in Altermedia studio. He started Oemdesign company in 2003. In 2004 the company's business direction changed from web development to development of solutions targeting join of mobile and traditional internet. Concept of Wapstart.ru was formed in Autumn 2005, and first services launched in a year. WAP search engine and visitors statistics service "Top" were among these. Now Wapstart is a fast growing startup specialized on mobile web services/projects development. Key products are: mobile B2C portal Wapstart.ru, mobile sites builder Wapface.ru (B2B)/Wapzone.ru (B2C) and mobile advertisement system Plus1 (B2B). In two years, we became one of the most prominent developer companies in our field, with clients like MTS, Megafon, Beeline,Tele2, Kyevstar, Mamba, Mail.ru, Rambler, TNT Tv, Independent Media, I-Free, Svyaznoy, Film.ru & TimeOut, Nashe Radio and other companies. Kirill has hobbies: Yoga, car traveling, Crimea and Music.

Roman Savvin
Закончил Национальный Технический Университет Украины по специальности "Техническая Кибернетика" в 1999 г, Национальный Экономический Университет Украины по специальности “Международная Экономика” в 2002 г. и Киево Могилянскую Академию (МВА) в 2007 г. Студен Harvard Business School. Более 10 лет работы в сотовой связи, начиная с сотрудника сервисного отдела Golden Telecom GSM и заканчивая должностью начальника отдела управления и развития отношений c контент-партнерами "Киевстар", на которую был назначен с 2002 года. В настоящее время - директор по маркетингу Zed-ТЕМА.

Kirill Zelenski
Business Development Manager, ForumNokia EMEA, Nokia Corporation. Born at 1971 in Saint-Petersburg, educated from University of Economics and Finance (Saint Petersburg), Faculty of Economy of production and Management; MA in Economics and Management. Finished also several courses of MIT and Walsh University in field of marketing and management, having MBA. Having more than 10 years experience in software development, both management and marketing. Employers before Nokia were Garant International Ltd (St-Petersburg, Russia), Fimet Oy (Monninkyla, Finland). Personally likes slalom, reading, football, chess. Married with three children.
